The band was formed in late 2017 by street musician Eric Burton and guitarist Adrian Quesada, who already had a Grammy to his name with his previous band Grupo Fantasma. An unusual, unplanned acquaintance, with Burton singing for Quesada over the phone, quickly turned into a success story. With only two songs out, ‘Black Moon Rising’ and ‘Fire’, the duo decided to start playing their music live already. At the first performance, it was immediately clear that the chemistry between Burton and Quesada on stage is special and unique. In their hometown of Austin, they soon became known for their sensational live shows, completely immersing the audience in the music.
Known for their compelling blend of soul, funk and rock, Black Pumas have captured the hearts of many a music lover around the world. Their 2019 debut album Black Pumas earned them two Grammy nominations. Songs such as “Colors” and “Fire,” among others, have also become crowd favourites.

What time does the concert start?
The doors of AFAS Live open at 6:30 p.m. The program will start around 7:30 p.m. Around 23:00, the evening will end. This timetable is subject to change. Keep an eye on our website for the latest changes and news. Keep in mind that there will be an entrance check. Please arrive well in time.
What can I/ can't I bring inside AFAS live?
Backpacks and/or holdalls are not allowed inside during events. Bags are allowed inside if they are no larger than A4 size and be no thicker than 10 cm. There may be searches and bag checks. The organization will make every effort to keep any queues to a minimum. Here you can find more information about what you can and cannot bring inside the concert venue. We recommend bringing earplugs or buy them at the AFAS Live service desk.
